What is Agricultural Engineering
Agricultural Engineering is the science of farming and all activities related to food production. While the agricultural industry is very broad, Agricultural Engineering is primarily concerned with making farming as safe, efficient and sustainable as possible. Agricultural Engineers are able to design machinery and equipment for all land use. They also create plans and procedures for soil and water conservation.
Most of the chemicals required by farmers is approved by Agricultural Engineers, including all pesticides, fertilizer or any fuel that is required for vehicles. Agricultural Engineers may specialise in food production, which is a specialised sub discipline.
Industries that employ Agricultural Engineers include food companies, government agencies and land conservation groups. Agricultural Engineers will always remain in high demand as long as the population is increasing and food production is required.
